Glass Ceiling

Glass Ceiling

Three women standing in their fabulousness, with confidence, money, success, intelligence, talent. One of them is holding an apple, the vintage telephone on the table seems to work. As always in my paintings the apple - eternal sin, women's burden - represents consciousness and knowledge, and the telephone is the token of the connection with the Self with capital S. The yellow room has a ceiling through which we can see the sky and the clouds. Is that a glass ceiling maybe? (Glass ceiling is a metaphor to refer to an invisible barrier that keeps a given demographic from raising beyond a level in hierarchy - Wikipedia)
